Part 1 – Chassis, Body, Roll Bars/Cage

1. Car must be completely stock, any 2 or 4 door car that meets wheelbase & frame requirements
is eligible.

2. 112” minimum wheelbase- Car must have frame. No 4x4, pickups, el camino, unibodies.   May shorten it some to allow for old hobbies and or 2 doors.

3. Remove all exterior trim, molding, glass & mirrors. Remove all front end nose pieces that can
be broken with a hammer. No covering of radiator or headlight area, except light mesh screen or
wire. (no metal, expanded metal or tin, etc.)

4. Remove all flammable material including dash, door panels, carpeting & bench seat.

5. All doors must be chained or welded shut, can have “inside the car” door protection.

6. Must have a 4 point roll cage (or better) welded to the frame. We will allow an X brace under roll cage and under fuel cell.   Roll cage not to be cluttered together with miscellaneous tubing, metal.

7. Window nets on driver & passenger side required.

8. Full screen in place of windshield required and numbers must be on a 3-sided sign, 16x16,
securely fastened to car top. Putting number on door is optional.

9. No frame plating, no bumper reinforcements (no channel), no kickers, no frame mounted hood
pins.

10. Bumper straps from side of bumper to fender and a real quarter panel is recommended
maximum material 6” wide by 12” long by 1/8” thick. (No channel iron).

11. Tow hooks mandatory on both ends of car you may use chains or flat straps. Must be visible,
easily accessible and reachable from standing position.

12. Trunk must be able to be opened with quick release pins for fuel cell inspection, fire or
leakage or 4” x 6” non-covered hole over fuel cell. 

13. Doors can have metal protection that does not exceed 6” past the doorframe on the right and
left front door only. Nothing more than 1/8” plate on outside. Pipes must be attached to cage on
inside of original body. No rub rails that exceed 1/8”. No extended , tubing, angle rub rails.

14. Approved circle track steel or aluminum racing seat required.

15. No jagged or protruding metal. Official’s decision is final. Must start with a bumper and
hood, if it falls off you will get equipment flag. Must enter track the next race with a bumper and
hood in place.
16. Must be a factory fire stop wall without holes between engine & driver. No cooling systems
(i.e. water, transmission, or oil) allowed inside the vehicle.

Part 2 - Engine Transmission Drive Train

17. Maximum cylinder compression of 155 at any time. (Zero Tolerance)


18. Motors must pull 16” or greater (17,18,19) of vacuum at 1000 rpm that is checked by the
carburetor. (Zero Tolerance) A Tach will be used by inspectors. Must have vacuum supply line
accessible to the fender well.


19. Accelerator belongs on passenger side only, far right side, attached to the floor, out of reach
of the driver. There is to be no pedal, wires, strings, or rods, etc. within reach of driver.

20. No electric fuel pumps. Must be carbureted. No fuel injected motors.

21. Motors must be in original position.

22. Drive shaft must be painted white and have a loop 360 degrees around the front of each one
approximately 3” behind the U-joint. Minimum 1 1/8 flat strap. NO CHAINS. NO ALUMINUM
DRIVESHAFTS.
23. No aluminum intakes.

24.  Anything we (SIS) deem as a safety issue will be brought up, and need to be corrected.  No questions!!

Part 3 - Rear End Suspension Wheels Tires

25. Must run passenger car tires. Must be 70 or 75 series, stock DOT tires. P rated 4 ply and B
load rating. No mud, tire inside a tire, snow, no chained, stud or racing tires. No LT pickup tires.
No alterations. Hubcaps removed..

26. All 4 tires must be the same size.

27. All wheels must have 1” lug nuts. Cars cannot race with broken or stripped studs or nuts.

28. No bead locks. Valve stem protection is allowed. Reinforcement of rim at stud hole location
is recommended.

29. 4 wheel working brakes required. No brake valves.

30. No sandbags.

31. APPROVED TIRES:    Only 70 or 75 series tires allowed.  No light duty truck or aggressive
tires.
No grinding or grooving on tires. See rule #24 for clarification.

Part 4 - Cooling, Fuel, Battery

32. Must remove factory fuel tank.

33. All cars must have racing fuel cell with rollover valve and vented outside of drivers
compartment. Fuel cells may be in trunk or over axle hump with good fire stop wall between tank
and driver. No rubber fuel line or oil line inside of drivers compartment.

34. Only gasoline fuel is allowed. No racing fuel of any kind. Maximum of 10% ethanol fuel mix
allowed..

35. Battery must be under the hood contained and in a metal box. Must be accessible from hood
only—not seen in drivers compartment.

36. Must have battery kill switch mounted to left of steering wheel on dash in plain view. Must
kill engine, prevent engine from starting.
